Use specific keywords rather than general ones. A common keyword word like
temples
will result in hundreds of images.
Enter the specific name of a temple, such as kinkakuji. Or, enter a phrase that describes the temple, such
as golden pavilion. |

Enter one, two or three related keywords separated by a space. Using more
than four words is less likely to find a close match. Do not enter unrelated keywords like bonsai geisha sushi. Do an individual search for each subject. |

Do not use the words Japan or Japanese. All photos in the database deal with the subject of Japan. Enter stone lanterns

The search engine is NOT accent

not matter if you use accent marks or capital
letters, the results will be the same. If
accent or case are important to your search,
check the appropriate boxes under "Advanced
Search." |
