| How
much do your photos cost? |
|
|
The classic
question...with no single answer. Photo
Japan image licensing rates are based on how the
photo will be used. This is true for both
"rights-managed" and "royalty-free" licensing. |

|
Rights-Managed Image Pricing |
|
|
Pricing for
rights-managed images depends on several factors, such as: usage
(whether printed in a magazine or shown
in an presentation), distribution (number of copies), image size (1/2
printed page or a an entire billboard)
and length of time the image is used.
For an instant quote,
select your
project details from the
Registration & Photo Request Form.
If your project is not listed under any of the
categories or you wish to receive a custom quote,
complete the same form and describe your specific
photo needs in as much detail as possible. |

Royalty-Free Image Pricing |
|
|
Royalty-free images
(stock numbers with the "RF" prefix) are offered at a
flat, discounted
rate based on the media type in which they are
used. Licensing fees per image
are as follows:
Advertising: US$199.00; Consumer Goods: US$99.00;
Corporate: US$149.00; Display: US$99.00;
Editorial:
US$99.00; Multi-media: US$49.00; Other Usage: Same as
rights-managed.
See
Royalty-Free Licensing for usage details and
restrictions. |

|
|
Discounts for rights-managed image licensing are
available to qualified photo buyers. No special
concessions are made to
non-profit organizations, students or individuals
with small, personal projects. There are no
discounts available for royalty-free licensing.
We typically
offer a 10% discount to photo buyers licensing six
or more rights-managed images. Additional discounts
may apply depending on one's business association
with Photo Japan, i.e. how many times your company
has purchased from us in the past or how quickly
license fees are remitted. |
