We make every effort to block the intrusion and dissemination of computer viruses, spyware, adware, worms, hijackers, Trojan horses, spam and all the other cyberspace dangers by keeping our "anti-everything" programs up to date and operational around the clock.  We would never intentionally initiate an attack on anyone's computer or network.  If you experience such a malicious attack, and the source seems to be pointing to Photo Japan, please notify us immediately.

A "cookie" is a small file that is placed on your computer when visiting web pages.  Cookies contain information that make it easier for you to use and navigate a website.  "Javascript" is a type of code written into web pages that enhances the visual and navigational experience.  Photo Japan uses both cookies and Javascript to operate its web pages especially the lightbox feature, forms and certain visual aspects.  If you have elected to disable these technologies in your browser, you are not experiencing our website as it is intended.  Also, you may encounter difficulties with navigation or using our forms.  Enabling cookies will not threaten your computer.  Instead, it will make your browsing experience more convenient and enjoyable.

Pop-up windows are not used on our website.  If pop-up windows are appearing when you visit our site, it is a possible indication that your computer is infected with a virus, adware or spyware.

Credit card transactions are processed for Photo Japan only by PayPal. Transactions with PayPal are handled on encrypted, secure servers independently from Photo Japan.  We would never ask for your credit card number under any circumstances.  Nor should your credit card number be sent to us in an e-mail, as we would be unable to process the payment for you.

Do not be fooled by websites using the name "photojapan" in their URL address.  There is only one "photojapan.com" on the world wide web.  A few other websites use the word "photojapan" in their address but they are not affiliated with us in any way.  Check to see if our name is followed by .com and not by .org, .net, .us, .cn or any other suffixes.  Also, be aware of websites with anything other than "www." preceding "photojapan.com" as they are not connected with us in any way.

"SPAM" is another name for unsolicited e-mails.  Although we send out e-mails to our clients and to prospective photo buyers who have inquired about our services, we never engage in the practice of flooding mailboxes with unwanted e-mails.  If unwanted messages are arriving in your mailbox from us, please let us know and we will promptly remove your name from our distribution list.

"Phishing" is the practice of pretending to be a company you know and using the trusted relationship to collect personal information.  Photo Japan will never ask for your social security number, your credit card number or your bank account number.  If for some reason such protected information is required for your photo transaction, we will call you.

Persons under the age of 18 should not use or enter any information in the forms on the Photo Japan website.  We respond only to requests from serious commercial photo buyers.  Adult content on our site is off limits to minors.

Photo Japan has a link exchange program with other websites.  We post their links on our site for the benefit and interest of our visitors.  Prior to displaying a link, we review the site for content and appropriateness as well as for virus/spyware-free accessibility.  Nevertheless, we cannot be responsible for information displayed on those sites nor can we guarantee your browsing safety.
